Flood and landslide warnings have been issued by officials in response to the Meteorological Department’s prediction of a new and more intense monsoon rainy season beginning July 28 in several parts of the nation.
The Met Office reports that Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, and Balochistan would be affected by the fifth monsoon spell, which is predicted to be more powerful than the previous ones. Cloudbursts and heavy rains are anticipated in a number of locations.
Rainfall forecast by region
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: From July 28 to July 31, rain is predicted in a number of locations.
Punjab and Islamabad: During the same time frame, it is predicted that cities, including Lahore, will see intense rainfall. The arrival of a fresh rain system in the province has been confirmed by the Met Department.
Balochistan: From July 29 to July 31, there is a chance of rain.
