In a recent Instagram post, Made in Chelsea star Louise Thompson discussed her fight with Ulcerative Colitis, a long-term medical issue.
After years of dealing with inflammatory bowel illness, the South Kensington, London native provided a heartbreaking report on her condition.
She revealed that while on a family vacation in Antigua, her health deteriorated and she was eventually sent to the hospital for two weeks.
“I fell asleep several times while gone, including in the car, in the middle of the day, and on the beach. “Couldn’t really walk or pick up Leo,” wrote Louise, admitting she felt ‘disoriented’ but ‘pushed through’ to enjoy the vacation.
However, she knew she was sick and needed assistance when she started losing cups of blood ‘every 20 minutes’.
“My body was ‘surviving’, ‘masking’ and ‘compensating’ but probably only because I’m young and I’ve got a good ticker” , she said.
When things got ‘serious’, Louise booked an early ticket to the UK and admitted herself to the hospital.
She is currently safe and healthy, stating, “I am alive and well cared for.”
“I am a strong cook, and I am working hard on a speedy recovery,” the brave actress stated before concluding her narrative and adding, “I still believe that 2024 will be the best yet!”.
