According to sources close to the family, the parents of late Punjabi musician Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, well known as Sidhu Moosewala, are expecting a new addition to their family shortly.

Charan Kaur, Moosewala’s mother, is now pregnant and expecting to give birth soon. According to reports, his mother is 58 and his father is 60.

Moosewala, who was tragically assassinated in 2022 following a failed bid for the Punjab Assembly elections from Mansa on a Congress platform, is still well remembered. Assailants shot him dead in his automobile in Jawaharke village, Mansa District.

His murder on May 29 of that year led to the identification of 31 suspects in the investigation, including criminals Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, with 25 people detained so far.

Moosewala was well-known among the youth for creating and performing his own songs, which helped him accumulate enormous fortune. Despite his premature death, his music continues to resonate with audiences, with some posthumous albums receiving millions of views.

As the only child of his parents, who are now in their late fifties, Moosewala’s family has kept a quiet profile since his death. While no formal announcement has been made announcing the anticipated arrival, family members have confirmed Charan Kaur’s pregnancy and impending delivery.

Amidst speculation that Moosewala’s father, Balkaur Singh, may enter politics and run for the Bathinda Lok Sabha seat, he has remained noncommittal, claiming that his involvement would not result in substantial improvements.

Notably, Charan Kaur has been outspoken about her support for farmers’ rights, actively participating in social media campaigns like the ‘Dilli Chalo’ protest. She has also pushed for justice for Shubhkaran Singh, a farmer killed at the Khanauri border. Charan Kaur’s social media profiles have included posts honoring Sidhu Moosewala, Deep Sidhu, and Shubhkaran Singh.

As the Moosewala family prepares for the arrival of their newest member, they continue to deal with the consequences of Moosewala’s terrible demise while actively participating in social and political causes that are important to them.
