Sunrise Coigne, Mark Ruffalo’s better half, spoke with Julianne Hough and expressed admiration for her husband’s unwavering dedication to his acting career.

Sunrise Coigney chatted with Julliane on the Oscars Red Carpet to express her admiration for her husband’s accomplishments in the industry.

She praised Ruffalo’s performance in Poor Things.

Sunrise commented on the 56-year-old actor’s Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor in Poor Things, saying, “I’m so proud of him”.

She said, “It’s probably my favourite thing I’ve ever seen him do.”

She praised Ruffalo’s portrayal as Duncan Wedderburn, saying, “He’s so free and playing, and it’s just — and it’s kind of a character that you might not like so much,

But then you’re like, ‘Oh my god, that poor guy’.”

Notably, Poor Things received 11 Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, and Best Supporting Actor.

The 13 Going on 30 actor received his fourth nomination, following previous nominations for supporting roles in The Kids Are All Right (2011), Foxcatcher (2015), Spotlight (2016), and Poor Things (2024).

Despite stiff competition, Emma Stone won the Best Actress award for her outstanding performance in Poor Things. In contrast, Ruffalo lost against Oppenheimer’s Lewis Strauss, played by Robert Downey Jr.
