LAHORE: According to News, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) announced a huge increase in the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) on Friday, putting an additional burden on already struggling consumers.
In a statement, Irfan Khokhar, Chairman of the LPG Association, alleged that the regulatory authorities raised the LPG price by Rs30 per kilogram. He maintained that the OGRA had not issued any notification in this regard.
Irfan Khokhar blamed the significant spike in costs on LPG quota holders and importers, claiming that a fake shortage of the commodity had been created throughout the country.
