The altercation started when Marwat was questioned over remarks that were purportedly against party rules.

Marwat retaliated by defending himself and accusing others of damaging the PTI’s narrative, claiming he was being unfairly attacked within the party. He bemoaned the lack of backing, saying he felt alone in trying to promote the party’s objectives.
Members of the core committee attacked Marwat for his purported acts and underlined the need of upholding PTI’s unity. He questioned their dedication to the cause despite this, pointing to Naqvi’s prolonged incarceration as proof of his sacrifices on behalf of the party.
