Iran said Monday that another Israeli F-35 stealth fighter plane has been shot down by its air defense systems in Tabriz, making it the fourth such aircraft to be taken down in the ongoing war.
Officials confirmed the most recent interception, according to Iranian state media, which also stated that Tehran’s air defense capabilities are still fully functional and ready to fend against more Israeli attacks. According to reports, the fighter plane was the target of an attempted airstrike against Iranian military installations.
Iran previously announced on June 14 that its air defense forces had shot down another Israeli F-35 stealth fighter jet over the country’s western airspace, marking a dramatic escalation in the continuing hostilities between the two countries.
