Following the event last week, there has been much debate over whether the UK should keep selling guns to the nation and whether Israel’s actions in the conflict have violated international law.
To make sure the UK is not involved in any illegal activity, opposition parties and a number of legal experts have requested that the government release the legal advice it has received over whether sales should continue.
However, Work and Pensions Secretary Mel Stride claimed there was “a long convention under governments of” in an interview with News’ Breakfast with Kay Burley.
