Although “Bridgerton” is renowned for its sensual sequences and Regency romance, it’s possible that Nicola Coughlan’s parents are unaware of this.
In an interview with Sirius Hits 1’s “The Morning Mash Up,” Coughlan disclosed that her parents watch a tamer version of the program.
“It’s literally written into my contract,” she stated. “People assume that I’m making this up. I simply choose not to.”
“I was raised as an Irish Catholic. We just don’t vibe like that,” she continued.
Penelope Featherington, played by Coughlan, will be the primary character of the upcoming third season of Netflix’s popular series.
She mentioned that throughout their “saucy” scenes on set, she and co-star Luke Newton, who plays her love interest Colin Bridgerton, were quite laid back.
