Labour won the by-election in Blackpool South. Chris Webb, a candidate for Labour, will take over as the area’s new MP, replacing former Conservative member Scott Benton.
Though the outcome was not surprising, Sir Keir Starmer celebrated Labour’s 58.9% vote share as a victory.
