According to a report released on May 9 by the caretaker government, there has been a calculated and hazardous endeavor to not only coerce the Pakistan Army into reaching a political agreement that would satisfy Imran Khan’s demands, but also to openly provoke a military coup in support of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
“The party had gained confidence from state institutions’ lack of stern reaction to its prior acts of violence. The goal of a frontal assault on military installations was to lower army morale and force it to negotiate on the political front. According to the study, “This was also an egregious and misguided attempt to incite rebellion from within the armed forces in its favor.”
It went on, “May 9, 2023, occurrences were neither isolated nor totally spontaneous.
They were a component of a well-planned and risky plot to put pressure on state institutions to give in to Mr. Khan’s demands.”
According to the investigation, the events of May 9 were the result of a narrative that was centered around a personality cult and a plan that rationalized using violence against his opponents as a means of fulfilling his civic duty.
After looking into the subject, the cabinet committee of the caretaker administration expressed “deep pain” over the election of a popular political party that would harm the interests of the country by making such rash intentions.
