23 terrorists were eliminated by security forces during a series of intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on May 26 and 27, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Monday.
Six terrorists were shot dead by security forces during an IBO on May 26 in the Hassan Khel neighborhood of Peshawar district, and other hideouts were discovered.
While fighting valiantly, Captain Hussain Jehangir and Havildar Shafiq Ullah also accepted martyrdom in the IBO.
Ten terrorists were slain on May 27 in another operation that took place in the Tank district after the army successfully engaged the terrorists’ location.
In the third encounter, which took place in the Khyber district’s general vicinity of Bagh, security forces wounded and killed seven terrorists.
