ISLAMABAD: According to The News on Tuesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved the adjustment to the Management Pay Scale Policy 2020 that modifies the experience requirements for various tiers.
The trial period and experience requirements for the MP1, MP2, and MP3 scales have been decreased under the new modifications. The aforementioned scales correspond to Grades 22, 21, and 20, in that order.
If the candidate has a PhD, they would need to have at least seven years of experience in the subject in order to be eligible for the MP1 scale. Nonetheless, the required amount of experience for a Master’s degree is nine years.
Meanwhile, for the PhD and Master’s programs, a minimum of five and seven years of experience will be needed for the MP2 scale.
For the MP3 scale, a minimum of three years’ experience would be needed for a PhD, and a minimum of five years’ experience would be needed for a Master’s.
For the MP1 scale, it used to be necessary to have at least 14 years of experience for a PhD and 18 years for a Master’s degree. On the other hand, the MP2 scale needed at least 10 years of experience for a PhD and 14 years for a Master’s degree.
For MP3, a PhD degree required at least six years of experience, and ten years of experience was necessary at least.
