With the backing of a nearby charity group, the governor announced plans to give children daily lunches at hundreds of city schools and free medical checkups in schools.
Federal Minister Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui accompanied Governor Kamran Tesori on a visit to the private welfare organization’s office.
The governor underlined in a media appearance his dedication to making sure no child in Karachi goes hungry to school. He declared that the following week will see the introduction of a website where worthy kids from government schools can register to take advantage of these programs.
Additionally, Governor Tesori disclosed intentions to repair ten run-down schools and turn them into role models.
He also announced the launch of a food security initiative designed to feed homeless kids. He reaffirmed the commitment to provide free medical exams in schools and asked for community cooperation in these endeavors.
Governor Tesori is being proactive, and MQM leader Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui commended him for it, pointing out that he is going above and beyond what is required of him to handle important concerns.
Dr. Siddiqui stated, “We made a decision yesterday, and it is turning into a major initiative today.” He also spoke about the continuous initiatives to enhance education and remove the necessity for kids to work to support themselves so they can concentrate on their studies.
