Robert Largan, who is fighting to keep his seat in the High Peak, has released a number of campaign posters with the logos of Reform UK and Labour.
The words “Labour for Largan” and “Reform for Robert” were also displayed in the images.
“So many local Labour voters have told me they’re going to vote for me because they want to keep me as their local MP,” the first social media post reads.
“There have been so many that I’m launching a new Labour for Largan club.”
The Reform social media post points to Mr. Largan’s campaign page, stating: “On Thursday, Reform supporters throughout the High Peak will cast local ballots.”
Derbyshire Police released the following statement: “We would want to clarify that we have been contacted over allegations of electoral fraud, which were brought up because of worries around promotional materials.
“An incident has been created and will be reviewed.”
Mr. Largan’s representative disputed any wrongdoing, claiming that all of his election pamphlets accurately identify him as the Tory candidate and adhere to electoral rules.
