Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the founder of the PTI, Sadaqat Abbasi, Sheikh Rasheed, and other leaders of Tehreek-e-Insaf were all declared not guilty in the case of violating Article 144 by the Islamabad District and Sessions Court.
Malik Imran, a civil judge, reserved judgment on the accused’s plea of not guilty.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Sadaqat Abbasi, and Ali Nawaz Awan—the PTI’s founder—were all found not guilty.
In 2022, the accused was charged with vandalism and violating Section 144 at the I-9 police station.
PTI leader Shehryar Khan Afridi and other PTI employees were also cleared by the same court of the charges brought against them in the I-9 police station over the May 9 occurrences.
