The “Punjab Price Control Essential Commodities Act,” which was introduced and passed by the Punjab government, established a Price Control Council in order to regulate the pricing of necessities.
The Convener will be the Minister of Industry. 49 goods will have their pricing set by the Council.
Following the Punjab Assembly’s assent, the measure was signed by Governor Punjab Saleem Haider. The Punjab Price Control Essential Commodities Act would create a Price Control Council.
The Chief Secretary, the Minister of Food, and the Minister of Industry will all be attending the Price Council as members. Other secretaries from Home, Livestock, and Food will also join the council.
49 goods will have their prices set by the Price Control Council.
