In a tweet on social media site X, formerly known as Twitter, Pakistani singer and social activist Shehzad Roy revealed an inspiring in-person encounter he had with a female gas station worker on Thursday.
The female attendant is shown filling up his bike with gas at one of the neighborhood gas stations, where most of the workers are men. Roy put the video on X. The singer stated in the post that the filling station employee gave him permission to film the footage.
“I heard a female voice say, ‘Nice bike, full tank, sir?’ as I turned off my motorcycle and removed my helmet on my way to fill up the tank.
The philanthropist’s admiration for the female attendant is a result of broader bias against women and girls in fields where males predominate and the dearth of female presence in public areas across the nation. The discovery of a female employee in an area traditionally occupied by men led him to recognize the significance of women’s involvement in the labor force of the nation.
