The government of Sindh has mandated that LNG and LPG stores be moved away from densely inhabited regions.
The warning was sent out as a result of the illicit LNG and LPG stores in Sindh being targeted by the government, following a cylinder bomb incident in Hyderabad that left 27 people dead.
Zia Ul Hassan Lanjar, the home minister for Sindh, stated that the LNG and LPG stores should be moved away from residential areas.
A instruction has been sent to all Deputy Commissioners by the Sindh Home Department.
Directives from the Sindh Home Department further stipulate that faulty cylinders must be seized, inspections of LNG and LPG businesses must be carried out, and the shops must follow standard operating standards.
He went on to say that the Deputy Commissioners ought to conduct weekly inspections of the LNG and LPG stores and provide reports.
A gas cylinder business in Hyderabad’s Preetabad neighborhood caught fire and exploded, injuring sixty persons.
Twenty-one of the injured, who had significant burns, were sent to the hospital. Numerous cylinders in the shop burst and exploded as a result of the explosion. The nearby buildings were also harmed by the explosion and the fire that followed.
