Punjab started a polio campaign to give 4.5 million children polio drops in five districts, including Lahore.
The polio outbreak in Punjab prompted the launch of the campaign.
According to Khizr Afzal, head of the anti-polio program, the drive to combat the disease began in districts like as Lahore, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, Lodhran, and Muzaffargarh.
Drops will be given to 4.5 million kids during the course of the program.
“The campaign involves 32,000 polio workers,” stated the anti-polio program’s chief. According to the head of Punjab’s anti-polio program, Lahore and Rawalpindi will host the campaign for seven days. The chairman of Punjab’s Anti Polio Program announced that the remaining districts will have a five-day campaign.
