After taking up his new position on Friday, the Labour minister has already visited Ukraine.
Rustem Umerov, Ukraine’s minister of defense, and President Zelenskyy were among the people he met with while in Odesa.
Mr. Healy promised artillery, missiles, boats, and ammunition during his tour.
In addition, he guaranteed that the apparatus Rishi Sunak declared in April will be provided inside the first 100 days of the incoming administration.
The recently pledged supplies to Ukraine consist of: 50 small military boats to support river operations; 90 anti-armour Brimstone missiles; and a quarter of a million 50 caliber ammo.
61 bulldozers to assist in constructing defensive positions; 0 demining vehicles; 10 AS-90 artillery weapons; and Assistance for AS-90s that were previously provided.
“The UK is united for Ukraine, despite the change in government,” stated Mr. Healy.
“As the next defense secretary, I’ll make sure that we increase the provision of essential military aid in order to revitalize British support.
“Our determination to oppose Russian aggression and hold Putin accountable for his war crimes is unwavering, as is our commitment to support the Ukrainian people.
