According to a statement released on Saturday, US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome and US Consul General in Lahore Kristin K. Hawkins commemorated the 248th anniversary of American independence while in Lahore.
A wide spectrum of government, corporate, and civil society organizations attended the July 5 event, which emphasized important areas of cooperation between the two nations.
This featured strong people-to-people contacts, a strong economic and investment relationship, creative cooperation on climate concerns under the US-Pakistan “Green Alliance” framework, and more.
Ambassador Blome stated in his speech that the US will continue to be a dedicated ally of the Pakistani people in bolstering democratic institutions and basic freedoms as well as increasing economic opportunities for Pakistanis.
