A foreign airline passenger’s health suddenly deteriorated, forcing an emergency landing at Karachi airport on their journey from Dubai to Colombo.
Sadly, Palawini, a 57-year-old Sri Lankan woman, passed away on the journey.
Sources claim that the event happened when Palawini’s health unexpectedly deteriorated on the Dubai-Colombo flight. In order to seek quick medical attention, the airplane captain promptly requested an emergency landing at Karachi’s airport from air traffic control.
Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) doctors boarded the plane to check on the passenger upon landing. They tried, but Palawini was declared dead. It has been verified by sources that she experienced a heart arrest while in flight.
The woman was later certified dead by the federal health officer assigned to the airport. The plane carrying her remains took off from Karachi airport for its original destination of Colombo once all the formalities were finished.
About the incident, the airline has not yet made any comments. The family of the deceased was contacted by passengers and crew members to offer their condolences.
