In an effort to show support for Palestinians and denounce Israel’s terrorism in Palestine, the government and coalition partners decided on Thursday to declare Friday, or tomorrow, a national day of mourning throughout Pakistan.
In a united statement, they agreed to hold the funeral prayers for Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the Hamas Political Bureau, who was killed in Tehran on Wednesday, nationwide following the Friday prayers.
It was released following a consultative conference of the allied parties led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the worsening circumstances in Palestine.
They also made the decision to introduce a resolution in Parliament endorsing Palestine with their wholehearted support.
Meeting attendees collectively expressed their sorrow and indignation at the continued brutality and cruelty perpetrated by Israel on the Palestinians.
