Mutually beneficial topics were covered in depth during the conference, such as giving Pakistani followers in Iraq greater amenities and refusing to confiscate their passports.
Additionally, topics such as the Safe City initiative, the training of Iraqi police in Pakistan, and enhancing bilateral cooperation to stop people smuggling and illegal immigration were covered. Mohsin Naqvi, the interior minister, was invited to visit Iraq by the Iraqi delegation.
The minister stressed the need for quick action in response to the suggestion to stop requiring passports from followers visiting Iraq and expressed optimism that the Iraqi government would soon reach a resolution on the matter.
