LAHORE: The first round of hardship transfers in the province’s education system began on Thursday, under the directive of Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat.
The spokeswoman for the minister stated in a statement that the starting date for the teacher transfer round was set for August 12.
For the convenience of the teachers, he claimed, the education ministry split the transfers into two stages. August 8 (today) marks the start of the first application period for hardship transfers, which runs until August 10.
Applications can be sent to the appropriate district CEOs based on the hardship standard. As to the spokesperson, such applicants are not required to apply through the School Education Department’s website (SIS).
