In a fresh Toshakhana case, an accountability court has approved the 11-day physical remand of Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and his wife, Bushra Bibi.
After their ten-day physical remand in the case expired, the pair was produced on Thursday in the improvised courtroom at Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail.
Prosecutor General Muzaffar Abbasi was escorted by Deputy Director National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Mohsin Haroon to the court of Judge Nasir Javed Rana, where they begged the judge to grant a 14-day remand of the PTI founder and his spouse.
Nonetheless, the judge continued the hearing until August 19 and accepted the 11-day physical remand.
Imran Khan and his spouse Bushra were questioned on August 6 by a team from the NAB headed by Assistant Director Umar Wasim.
