The endeavors of the military and civilian leadership to alleviate the electrical situation and revive the nation’s economy are starting to bear fruit. Following a strict crackdown on electricity theft, nearly 83,000 electrical thieves have been arrested and an astounding 107.54 billion rupees have been recovered nationwide.
Relevant organizations retrieved about Rs1.03 billion from power thieves in Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Multan, and Islamabad in August alone. Sixty-eight million rupees were also collected from Quetta, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Peshawar.
The government is determined to keep up its efforts until all instances of electricity theft are eliminated nationwide, guaranteeing a more reliable and effective power source for every individual.
