In a gunfight with terrorists attempting to enter Pakistan across the Afghanistan border close to the Bajaur region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), three troops accepted death, the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Monday.
The security forces saw the movement of a number of terrorists attempting to cross the Pakistan-Afghan border on the night of August 18 and 19, according to a statement released by the military’s media arm.
“Own forces confronted them and successfully stopped their effort to penetrate. Four Khwarij of Fitna al Khwarij were hurt and five Khwarij of Fitna al Khwarij were consigned to hell as a result, according to the ISPR.
The Pakistani soldiers were stated to have fought bravely and accepted martyrdom.
The men who chose to become martyrs were Lance Naik Umer Hayat, 35, and Sepoy Waqar Khan, 25.
