The 85-year-old Sir Ian McKellen still has anxiety when he goes outside following his fall during a West End performance.
On June 17, Ian was performing as John Falstaff in the West End performance at the Noel Coward Theatre in London. The performer sustained a fractured wrist and chipped vertebrae as he stumbled and fell from the stage into the crowd.
In a recent interview with Saga Magazine, Ian discussed his injuries in detail, stating, “My chipped vertebrae and fractured wrist are not yet mended.”
“I avoid going out because I’m afraid I’ll be bumped into by someone, and I have excruciating shoulder pain from being jostled,” he said.
