Maria Branyas has passed away, according to a post made by her family on Ms. Morera’s X account. She passed away peacefully, painlessly, and in her sleep, just as she had desired.
Then they stated that she had assured them, just before she passed away, that “this long journey will come to an end very soon.”
Having experienced so much life, death will find me exhausted, but I want to greet it with a smile, feeling content and free.
Ms Morera was included on the Gerontology Research Group’s list of verified individuals who are believed to be 110 years of age or older.
At 116 years old, Japan’s Tomiko Itooka is currently the second-oldest individual on the group’s list.
Prior to her family’s early departure to Spain, Ms. Morera was born on March 4, 1907, in San Francisco, California.
