ISLAMABAD: Former close associate of General (retd) Faiz Hamid, Mohsin Habib Warraich, has confirmed that he arranged for Pakistan to get Sputnik vaccines at the request of the Pakistani government. Through the facilitation of a G2G contract between the government of Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates, the reliable friend saved the nation $600 million.
He also denied any indication that the previous spy chief, General Faiz, who is currently being tried in a military court for allegations of financial wrongdoing and political meddling, assisted him in the process.
