ISLAMABAD Next week, from August 26 to 29, there will be significant rainfall in the southern regions of the country, including Karachi, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) announced on Friday.
The Met Office stated that a low-pressure weather system that is currently over west Bengal is expected to travel westward over the following few days. The weather system is expected to deliver severe monsoon currents to the southern parts of the country on the evening of August 25.
From August 25 to August 29, with sporadic breaks in between, the low-pressure system will bring widespread and isolated very heavy showers, strong gusts, and thundershowers.
Showers are anticipated in the following locations: Hyderabad, Dadu, Thatta, Badin, Sajawal, Shaheed, and Karachi.
