After a run-in with the local police, a Muslim youth in Uttarakhand, India, passed away. This incident sparked outrage and raised concerns about how minorities are treated in the nation.
The young man was reportedly violently beaten by cops before being thrown into a pond, whereupon he died. The cops suspected the young person of trafficking beef, which led to the encounter.
The young man went into the pond while speeding, according to the local authorities, who maintain that the death was an accident. The victim’s family vehemently contests this narrative, though.
“The police have been harassing our family for six months,” said the brother of the deceased. My brother was assassinated by them due to mere suspicion.” Additionally, he claimed that when the family tried to report the occurrence, the police declined to make a formal complaint.
