At least 88 persons have died as a result of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s continuous rains and flooding since July 1, according to a statement released on Saturday by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).
The authorities report that at least forty-three youngsters, comprising 26 men and 19 women, have died as a result of the ongoing monsoon season.
However, since last month, the devastation caused by the excessive rains has resulted in at least 129 injuries. 39 men, 29 women, and 61 children are among the injured, according to PDMA.
The authority stated, “A total of 958 houses were damaged by rains.”
Rain-caused destruction has resulted in 260 houses being completely demolished and 698 houses being partially damaged.
