Insisting that people adhere to the three tenets of Pakistan’s founder, Quaid-i-Azam, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir has issued a warning against allowing political differences to turn into enmity.
“Prevent enmity from arising from differences in politics. At a ceremony on Friday to commemorate Defence and Martyrs Days in Rawalpindi, honoring the sacrifices of fallen heroes of the 1965 war against India, he stated, “The guiding principles of Quaid—faith, unity, and organization—should serve as our beacon.”
The ceremony was attended by the high brass of the army, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, prominent military and government figures, and the families of troops who lost their lives in battle.
He asserted that the people and military of Pakistan were capable of defending the country in its entirety.
