On this day, Navy Day is observed to honor the military’s naval branch’s involvement in the 1965 war. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the Pakistan Navy’s defense of the nation as well as the commitment, bravery, and sacrifices made by its members on Sunday.
The chief executive and the prime minister expressed their pride in the Pakistan Navy’s readiness to protect the nation’s maritime borders in separate statements to the whole country.
Today celebrates the navy’s contribution in the 1965 war, the exploits of the veterans and martyrs who bravely faced off against a far more powerful foe, and operation “SOMNATH,” in which PN ships destroyed important shore structures to cause irreversible damage to the Indian side.
