Antony Blinken stated that the development posed “a threat to all of Europe” and demonstrated how Iran’s “destabilizing influence reaches far beyond the Middle East” while on a visit to the UK.
At a press conference, he stated: “The Fath-360 close-range ballistic missile system, which has a maximum range of 75 miles, is being used by dozens of Russian military personnel who have received training in Iran.
“These ballistic missiles have now been shipped to Russia, and it is expected that they will be used against Ukrainians in Ukraine in a few weeks.
Although Russia possesses a variety of ballistic missiles of its own, the Iranian missile supply allows Russia to direct a larger portion of its arsenal on targets that are farther back from the front lines.”Definitely a significant escalation” in the sale of ballistic missiles from Iran to Russia, according to British Foreign Secretary David Lammy, who also stated that the UK was “coordinating”.
Mr. Lammy, however, stated he would not comment on “operational issues” when asked if he would support Ukraine using the Storm Shadow long-range missiles to hit targets within Russia.
