For security reasons, the Sindh government has banned pillion riding on motorbikes in a number of cities, including Karachi, during the five-day Ashura procession and Eid-i-Miladun Nabi.
The Inspector General of Police requested that the prohibition be implemented, and the Sindh Home Department complied.
According to the statement, the limitation on double riding would be in force from September 13 to 17 in Karachi, as well as in Hyderabad, Larkana, and Sukkur.
The purpose of this step is to protect public safety and improve security for the forthcoming events.
