Following the passing of PTI-backed MNA Rais Mumtaz Mustafa a few weeks ago, the seat became vacant.
According to an unofficial count, Mr. Rasheeduddin received 116,429 votes, while Hassaan Mustafa received 58,251.
Later, festivities got underway in Mr. Rasheeduddin’s home.
Hassaan Mustafa, however, said in a video message that the police had locked 71 voting places and had not given them Form-45s.
PTI claims they were not given the Form-45s for a number of voting places.
He claimed that fourteen of their supporters were taken by police from Chachran Sharif. He said that female supporters had been attacked in various locations and that police had stopped voting at numerous polling places.
In the constituency, there were 301 voting places in all.
