The Jashn-e-Pakistan Polo Tournament, the biggest polo tournament in the northern regions, was recently held in Gilgit-Baltistan. The Force Commander Northern Area arranged the ten-day competition, which was held at the Wahab Shaheed Polo Ground in Gilgit.
There were fifteen teams that competed in the competition, including some new Chitral teams. In the past, teams from Gilgit-Baltistan mostly participated at the high-altitude Shandur field. In front of a raucous stadium that held over 40,000 spectators, including a significant number of female fans, the NLI squad defeated GB Scouts A in the final game.
The artificial illumination used for all matches gave spectators a better experience. The Force Commander FC NA and CM GB were the principal guests at the tournament’s concluding ceremony.
