ISLAMABAD The All Pakistan Lawyers Representatives on Thursday unanimously resolved to demand that the government use advertising to publicize the proposed constitutional revision.
The group of lawyers said that they met with Azam Nazeer Tarar, the law minister, and that during the discussion, the minister provided thorough responses to the queries raised by the group’s members.
Hundreds of lawyers from all over the nation attended the meeting held by the All Pakistan Lawyers Representatives at the Supreme Court Bar Complex in Islamabad, where the resolution was accepted.
The legislature possesses the authority to enact laws and modify the constitution. The resolution stated that laws or changes to the constitution should not conflict with the underlying principles of the text and that the package would be meaningless if the lawyers were not taken seriously.
