ISLAMABAD: Asking the Supreme Court registrar nine questions on Saturday, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa sought explanation on an order that was passed by a majority of top court judges in a matter involving reserved seats.
In the dispute pertaining to reserved seats for women and minorities in the national and provincial assemblies, the top court issued an administrative decision that purportedly cleared up any confusion regarding the brief order.
The chief justice asked several pointed questions regarding the ruling that the eight members of the Supreme Court made in chambers on September 14 in response to the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) appeal.
