Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) flatly refused to provide an apology on Sunday for his “vitriol” during the September 8 rally in Islamabad, saying, “I owe no apology for any wrongdoing, nor am I a slave to the Punjab government or anyone else.”
During the troubled party’s main political function two weeks ago, PTI’s fiery leader Gandapur—who frequently makes news for his controversial remarks—came down hard on media.
A gang of journalists was allegedly “campaigning against the PTI,” the KP CM yelled at the newsmen, threatening to “confront” them, and requesting that the party workers identify and expose them.
The press community and the current administration strongly condemned the chief minister for his irresponsible comments, and they called forthat he tender an apology.
