The famous Monal Restaurant in Margalla Hills National Park is being demolished by the Wildlife Management Board in accordance with the Supreme Court’s directions. They hauled in heavy machinery, and in one day, a good chunk of the restaurant was destroyed.
The 18-year existence of the Monal Restaurant, which opened in 2006 and has been a well-liked destination for tourists visiting the Margalla Hills, is finally coming to an end. The Wildlife Management Board said that the action is a part of the park’s attempts to preserve its natural ecosystem and wildlife, both of which have been negatively impacted by nearby human activity.
Spokesman for the Wildlife Management Board Omar Bilal said the location would be used for teaching and conservation.
