Vehicles heading from Islamabad to Lahore must use an alternate route due to a partial closure of the Islamabad-Lahore Motorway.
Drivers are being diverted at the Islamabad Toll Plaza as a result of continuous repair or maintenance being done on the road.
All entrances to Lahore are still accessible, though, and the expressway going from Lahore to Islamabad is still open for traffic. A police spokesman said that there are no obstacles blocking access to Lahore, and video from the Safe City surveillance system verifies that the lanes are open.
Additionally, the representative made it clear that no containers had been placed at Shahdara Chowk, guaranteeing that traffic is moving normally across the bridge and throughout the neighborhood.
