Babar Ayaz, a senior journalist and novelist, passed suddenly on Tuesday, his family reported, following a protracted illness.
The senior journalist had Parkinson’s disease for an extended period of time.
Throughout his 41-year professional career, he continued to be connected to a number of periodicals.
Ayaz is also the author of other publications, such as ‘What’s Wrong with Pakistan,’ which draws from his observations as a journalist.
People from various walks of life and the journalist fraternity expressed their sorrow over the death.
The interim minister of information, Murtaza Solangi, sent his deepest condolences on the tragic loss of a well-known novelist, journalist, peacenik, human rights advocate, and democracy.
