According to a police officer, a militant commander was slain on Tuesday night in the Tor Lawangkhel area during an intelligence-based operation.
He claimed that upon receiving information about the presence of terrorists there, the local police and the commandos of the Counter-Terrorism Department together initiated the operation. He claimed that a sizable group of law enforcement officers arrived and confronted the terrorists.
He claimed that although the insurgents were using automatic guns, the law enforcement officials had skillfully countered, leading to a protracted and intense gunfight.
According to the official, once the gunfight ended, police conducted a search and found the body of a militant commander known as Inam, a local of the Shagai area.
