According to officials, 201 dengue patients were admitted to the hospitals at the tehsil headquarters, Benazir Bhutto Hospital, Holy Family Hospital, and Rawalpindi Teaching Hospital.
The majority of the patients came from the surrounding areas, including Dhoke Dalal, Dhoke Mangtal, Pirwadhai Mor, Morah Noori, Takhat Pari, Chaudhry Bostan Khan Road, Khanna Dak, Asghar Mall Scheme, Lane 4 Peshawar Road, Gulistan Colony, Dhoke Jalaldin, Lakkhan, and Asghar Mall Scheme.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directed a 16-person team of dengue specialists from Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare to visit Rawalpindi.
Along with the specialists, Secretary of Primary and Secondary Healthcare Nadia Saqib toured several parts of Rawalpindi to evaluate the situation and verify the effectiveness of the dengue teams on the ground, as well as the coverage of hotspots and larvae.
