The leader of the Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Ain-e-Pakistan (TTAP), Mehmood Khan Achakzai, stated on Wednesday that the constitution is a holy text and not merely a piece of paper, and that changes should not be made through conspiracies behind closed doors.
In a speech to a delegation of journalists in Quetta, he criticized political ploys and said Maulana Fazlur Rehman was overrated in terms of his political power. He also called the politician weak.
Speaking about the economic situation facing the nation, Achakzai stated that more than 30 million Pakistanis continue to live in poverty.
He emphasized that democratic stability and the rule of law are the key to finding solutions, and he called for electoral reforms to give the people real representation.
The leader of Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Ain-e-Pakistan went on to suggest that holding fresh elections would be essential to resolving the country’s issues.
